Freedom of information
The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) took effect on 1 January 2005 and applies to all information held by Becta. The Act is intended to encourage greater openness and transparency in Government by increased disclosure of information in response to public request. It applies to all recorded information, including paper, email, documents and databases.
In this section you can find out about Becta's freedom of information (FOI) responsibilities and gain access to Becta publications. A good start is to read the information page where you can find out all about Becta, Becta's FOI responsibilities, Becta's publication scheme, how to request information and fees, and how to make a complaint or provide feedback.
